Welcome to the College Bowl Blast!

Welcome back everybody! I'm not even sure how many years it's been at this point. It's been at least 30.

The College Bowl Blast started before the internet as a single sheet of paper that was passed around and faxed to all the participants. It was a simple game - pick the winner of each bowl game. The person with the most correct picks wins, with a tiebreaker of the total points in the final game.

Over the years the College Bowl Blast has evolved into several different web technologies, but the game has remained the same!

We've made some updates to the site this year - this website not only provides college bowl fun, but it serves as a way force your favorite developer to learn about the latest web technologies.

This year we are using React, Next.js, TailwindCSS, and React Query. I know this doesn't mean much to most of you, but believe me this stuff is in high demand right now. It also increases the likelihood of bugs, so please let me know at bowlmaster@collegebowlbast.com if something isn't working as expected.
